Why are we starting memberships?
For Kettlebell Sport to become a Recognized sport in Canada we need build a membership database. The CKA has limited options to create revenue, over the years this has been out of pocket for the board members. Now that we are a registered NPO we have expenses we formally did not occur so we are now creating ways we can build the sport and the improvement of the CKA to have the best Fair Competitions to bring Team Canada on the international stage.
What does our yearly $ go to?
All CKA Board Members are Volunteer and receive NO compensation for their time.
Yearly IUKL & WKSF Fee’s
Judging education and course building, workshops, Online Course, certifications, testing
Managing Website/Domain/Ecommerce
Team Canada application and selection process
Management of Non Profit / Lawyer/Yearly Tax’s
Uniforms
Registrations & Payments of Events
Management of Social Media Costs/Events/Advertising
Rank Certification and Pins distribution
Sponsor Advocates
Continual correspondence with organizations rules and event updates
At World Championship locations collection or arrangements of accommodations
**If more than 6 athletes attending World Championships CKA rep will be accompany team to represent and follow CKA Rep/Team Captain Requirements. Focus on Team first and if they are a lifter this will be secondary. *

Do I have to pay or become a member to compete?
No, only if you wish to apply for a Team Canada Spot
Can anyone become a member?
Yes, anyone outside of Canada can be a Member (supporting the CKA) but you have to be a CKA Member and a Canadian Passport to qualify for Team Canada.
